The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed with regard to the significant variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office devoted to service the area daily. The service place established for intervention experiences a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA sassa will mobilise far more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and raise use of Social Assistance products and services,” sassa status the agency said.
